Nichole Berklas

Nichole Berklas is a transactional real estate attorney and Partner at
Bocarsly Emden.

Ms. Berklas represents a variety of developers, equity
investors and lenders in a wide range of projects, including multi-family,
single family, commercial, retail and office centers throughout the United
States. Her practice involves all aspects of the acquisition, development of
and investment in real estate, including negotiation and drafting of purchase
agreements, construction and permanent loans of development contracts, and
formation and syndication of partnerships and limited liability companies. In
addition, Ms. Berklas has experience in representing nonprofit corporations
obtain 501(c)(3) status.

Ms. Berklas has participated in numerous affordable multi-family and senior
housing developments financed using the Federal Low Income Housing Tax Credit,
Tax Exempt Private Activity Bonds, Federal CDBG and Home Funds and other
similar funding sources. Further, Ms. Berklas has experience in projects using
New Markets Tax Credits.

Ms. Berklas was formally an associate with Riordan & McKinzie in Los Angeles,
California and Winstead Secrest & Minick in Dallas, Texas.

Ms. Berklas received her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of
California, Los Angeles in 1997 and her Juris Doctorate from New York
University School of Law in 2001.
